CBN debunks sacked Governor Godwin Emefiele’s claim  

Osita Nwanisiobi, the Central Bank’s Head of Corporate Communications, has denied that the Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele, has been sacked.

Earlier today, it was reported that the CBN governor was sacked by President Muhammadu Buhari.

However, in response, Osita Nwanisiobi stated:

“As far as I know, it’s a rumor; I’m not aware of any sack.”
