Court affirms Uba Sani’s candidacy for Kaduna APC governorship

A Federal High Court in Kaduna state has confirmed Uba Sani as the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2023 election.

Sani Sha’aban filed the lawsuit, requesting that the primary election that produced Sani as the APC governorship candidate for the 2023 elections be declared null and void.

Aside from alleging that the election was conducted without legal and due delegates, he also claims that ward and local government delegates were manipulated and substituted.

Ruling on the case, Justice Mohammed Garba dismissed the suit on grounds of the court lacking the jurisdiction to hear the suit. He also said that the issue is a party affair and not a post or pre-election matter.
