Katsina State Govt House staff killed by bandits after they collected a ransom of N5m
Lawal Dahiru, a steward employed at the Katsina State Government House, was killed by bandits after they were paid a N5 million ransom.
SP Gambo Isah, a spokesman for the State Police Command, confirmed the incident, saying Dahiru was kidnapped 24 days ago on his farmland, not far from the 35 Battalion Natsinta, Nigerian Army Barracks, along the Jibiya-Katsina Road.
Dahiru is survived by four wives, approximately 20 children, and grandchildren. He was later buried according to Islamic customs.
On Saturday, October 29, 2022, Governor Aminu Bello Masari paid a condolence visit to the deceased’s family members.
