Yahaya Bello and Dangote reconcile, resolve Obajana Cement rift (Photos)
Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State, appears to have reconciled with Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the MD of Dangote Group.
Bello and Dangote have recently clashed after the former closed the company’s Obajana Cement Factory due to allegations of tax evasion and fraud.
Bello claimed that Dangote did not own Obajana Cement, and that the factory was state-owned. He revealed in a press conference last week that the cement factory’s ownership was transferred to Dangote without the approval of the state house of Assembly.
Several people had also protested against the cement company over its alleged poor business practices in the state. However, in a private meeting presided over by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adamu Abdullahi and President Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari, Dangote and Bello reconciled and shook hands putting the entire feud to rest.
