Man Utd stars snub Ronaldo ss they nominate De Gea for Player Of The Year
David De Dea, the goalkeeper for Manchester United, has been awarded Players’ Player of the Year, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo was snubbed by his teammates, who opted for De Gea to get the honor instead.
Last season, De Gea was selected Man of the Match seven times for United, the same number as Ronaldo.
Nonetheless, given De Gea’s 57 goals conceded in 38 outings, Portugal’s captain may have reason to be upset.
But the shot-stopper made some crucial saves that arguably prevented that tally from being much higher, like his last-gasp penalty stop against West Ham to secure a 2-1 win at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo enjoyed a fruitful return to Old Trafford, scoring 24 goals in all competitions, 18 of which came in the Premier League.
