Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary poll on Saturday, May 28.<\/p>\n

The 75-year-old lawmaker defeated 12 other candidates in the election conducted at the Moshood Kashimawo Abiola Stadium’s velodrome complex in Abuja.<\/p>\n

He received 371 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, who received 237 votes, and former Senate President Bukola Saraki, who received 70 votes to come third.<\/p>\n
