Nnamdi Kanu should be allowed to go home – SAN, Ozekhome
Mike Ozekhome, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanu’s counsel, has stated that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra should be released immediately following his release by the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
Nnamdi Kanu was released after a Court of Appeal ruled that a Federal High Court lacked jurisdiction to try him because of his kidnapping and extraordinary rendition to Nigeria, both of which were flagrant violations of the OAU extradition convention and protocol.
Mr Ozekhome stated on Channels Television’s News At 10 that Kanu must be released for the sake of the country’s peace.
“What it (the ruling) means is that Nnamdi Kanu was discharged. That means he is a free man.
“And he should be allowed to go home. By the time we get a certified true copy of the judgment, we serve it to the Office of the Attorney-General and the DSS to allow Nnamdi Kanu go. Let my people go.”
